Gargoyles and Griffens

Gargoyles and Griffens

This week, I needed a little housewarming gift for some clients. Remember the guys who found the perfect house with everything except the gargoyle in the garden? Well, I had to find a gargoyle. The perfect gargoyle!

After making some inquiries, I learned the best place to gargoyle shop in Washington is the National Cathedral’s garden shop. Not only do they have a great selection, but the staffer who helped me was really knowledgeable.

One little guy caught my eye, and I asked what she could tell me about him. She Googled him for me and said he was a “Defender Griffin” a symbol of strength and vigilance. They guard treasure. What better present for clients who are moving into their inner city dream house!

So my clients now have this great guard gargoyle in their new garden.

Wow – the perfect adjunct to a big dog and major alarm system?
