The Washington Post ran a front page story Wednesday — The Purchase Of a Lifetime. It’s the first in a series telling a compelling story about a group of low income tenants who, against all odds, refused to become victims of gentrification in downtown DC. It’s a great story for the holiday season. It has no Ebenezer Scroge or villains of any sort. Just a bunch of inspirational heroines and heroes.
