Furry Tales
When your house is for sale, the very best kinds of pets to have may be the kind they sell at F.O.A. Schwartz – like my friends here.
Real pets are messy. When we’re showing houses, they’re noisy. They smell bad. Some of them hump legs. And their dander makes some buyers sneeze.
Stuffed pets, on the other hand, are adorable. They are odor-free. You can put them into a designer bunny hutch and it’s fine. There’s no need for advanced notice to buyer brokers and their sellers. You needn’t worry about colleagues accidentally letting them escape.
I have a dog and two cats. And it’s a really good thing that my house is not for sale. Willie, Mr. Snowball and Ms. Mum are wonderful housemates, but they are the poster pets for wild behavior, fur-full air, funky litter boxes, and wall-to-wall dust bunnies.
When I do put my house on the market, my furry ones will spend a bit of time visiting my sister!

Even if the pets are out of the house, their impact still can linger. Carpet and cats are negatives for many buyers.
Ken, you’re so right about that one! A little humid weather and you need a clothespin on your nose!
