DC-American University Park

This popular neighborhood is mostly a variation on the brick center hall colonial theme, although it does have some architectural diversity – including the original old frame farmhouses. When the market overheats, great schools and proximity to Metro helps AU Park to become the epicenter of a lot of the DC bidding wars.   Most of the detached single family homes sell for over $1million, unless they need bunches of work.

And for condo seekers, there is a building at 4101 Albemarle Street that sits right on top of the entrance to the Tenley Metro, is across from my favorite restaurant, Whole Foods and a brand new public library.  The prices start in the $400's for a small 1-bedroom.
