DC-Cleveland Park

President Grover Cleveland had a sort of summer White House where he could escape the yellow fever outbreaks that plagued Washington's early downtown residents when it got hot and muggy in July and August.  And while his home fell to the wrecking ball, there are many gracious survivors of this past era.  There are many restored Queen Anns, and Victorians along this neighborhood's tree-lined streets.  But my favorite is Rosedale Cottage (pictured above), which I sold a few years ago.

While most of these stately homes carry price tags of well of $1million, there are some amazing condominium and cooperative buildings with prices within the reach of first time buyers.
